AK Burger Zone opened in Fairbanks in 2020 with one stubborn idea: a burger should taste like it came off a smoker, not out of a freezer. Six years later that same smoked blend is served in two Alaska kitchens.
Every burger is handcrafted using a smoked blend of brisket, pulled pork, short rib, and chuck — pressed by hand and grilled to maximum flavor. No shortcuts. No frozen patties. Just serious burgers made for Alaska appetites.
Since 2020, AK Burger Zone has been Alaska’s destination for those who demand more from a burger. More smoke. More craft. More flavor.
The first AK Burger Zone opened on College Road in Fairbanks in 2020, in a winter market where a hot, honest meal matters more than almost anywhere else. Word travelled the way it does in Interior Alaska — one regular at a time — until the smoked brisket burger became something people drove across town for.
In time we opened a second kitchen on North Muldoon Road in Anchorage, running the same blend, the same smoker routine and the same hand-pressed patties. Two dining rooms, one standard. More than 450 people have left us a review on Google since we opened, and that feedback is still the thing we run the kitchens by.
